MEET OUR MANAGER
The Guiding Force of Moriah House

I have worked in the social care sector for over 11 years where I have a developed a passion for providing high quality and compassionate care to support individuals and their care needs.
Since joining the team at Moriah House Care Home in 2018, I have had the opportunity to work across several departments where I have worked directly along side the care team, the senior care team & later within a management team covering administration, finance & governance. These experiences have given me a good understanding of the home and the needs of both residents and staff.
Over the years, I have developed my knowledge and leadership skills alongside the completion of an NVQ level 5 in leadership and management, where I have successfully and proudly registered with CQC as the Registered Manager.
My focus for Moriah House care home is to maintain high standards of care whilst creating a warm, supportive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and safe. I strongly believe in promoting person-centred care, ensuring that each individual receives support that reflects their preferences, dignity, and independence. I am dedicated to working closely with residents, families, and our team to ensure that the home continues to provide the highest quality care and remains a positive and welcoming place for everyone.

TYPES OF FUNDING
Flexible Options to Suit Individual Needs
01
Local Authority Banding
Local authority funding helps pay for care home costs for people who need residential care but cannot afford it themselves. The council first carries out a care needs assessment and a financial (means) test. If eligible, it will contribute towards or fully cover the cost of care, depending on the person’s income and savings. In some cases, individuals or their families may need to pay a top-up if they choose a more expensive care home
02
CHC Funding
NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding is a package of care that is fully funded by the National Health Service for individuals with significant ongoing health needs. It covers the full cost of care, whether provided in a care home. Eligibility is not based on income or savings but on the level and complexity of a person’s health needs. An assessment is carried out to determine whether their primary need is health-related. If approved, the NHS pays for all care costs
03
Self Funding
A self-funder is someone who pays for their own care home fees without financial help from the local authority or the National Health Service. This usually applies when a person’s savings, income, or assets are above the means-test threshold. Self-funders are responsible for covering the full cost of their care, including accommodation, personal care, and any additional services they choose.
